Charles Dickens was considered to be a staunch Christian. As such, it is no surprise that A Christmas Carol is often interpreted as a non-secular tale. It has frequently been described as a Christian allegory, which celebrates not only the religious notions of the Nativity and the Epiphany, but the broader narrative of Christ: from the Nativity to the Resurrection.
