Denouement refers to the final part of a narrative in which various strands of the plot are joined together, and matters and conflicts are explicated and resolved. The fifth stave serves as the denouement of A Christmas Carol, seeking to conclude the moral teachings of the three spirits, and to reveal Scrooge’s great character development.
