Old vs. Young

In the play’s context of social, political, and cultural turmoil, ideologies which had been upheld and uninterrupted for generations were being challenged throughout the British population. Priestley encapsulates these evolving attitudes through his portrayal of the conflict between the older and younger generations within An Inspector Calls.
