This is an analysis of two different genres: Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, and the poem Kubla Khan by Samuel Coleridge. As with the previous essay, analysing two different forms of text often requires a comparison of structural features, though here, we’re also examining separate texts (as opposed to one text that is an adaptation of another), which adds another layer of meaning we must consider.
