You always see stage directions in the form of italics. That’s because its purpose is to tell the actors what actions or movements are needed. However, some stage directions can be vague, thus leading to a multitude of different interpretations. Shakespeare’s plays are famous for having very vague stage directions. This is evident when you watch different productions of his plays.
