Georgiana Darcy

Georgiana, the much younger sister of Darcy, is initially presented as a rival to Jane for Bingley, but this proves to be utterly fabricated by the Bingley sisters. In reality, Georgiana is kind and beautiful, although painfully shy, but she soon grows to become a close friend of Elizabeth when she lives with the married Darcys at Pemberley. Georgiana also forms one of the basis for demonstrating Wickham’s bad character, as it is revealed that he was almost successful in eloping with her in order to get her fortune.
