Feste

Feste is a fool, but that’s only his job description, not a commentary on his intelligence. On the contrary, he is probably the wittiest and wisest person in Illyria (as Viola points out in Act 3 Scene 1, “this fellow is wise enough to play the Fool, / And to do that well craves a kind of wit”).
