Algal Cell Structure
- Algae are eukaryotic cells found in oceans, lakes, rivers, and ponds.
- Algae are plant-like because they perform photosynthesis and have chloroplasts.
- Algae are not technically plant cells.
- Algal cells have a cell wall made of cellulose, similar to plant cells.
- The cellulose cell wall in algae provides structure and protection.
