Non-Communicable Disease
- Diseases are categorized as communicable or non-communicable.
- Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) cannot be spread from person to person.
- Communicable diseases are infectious, such as the common cold.
- NCDs differ as they are not transmissible between individuals.
- NCDs can be inherited or developed due to lifestyle or environmental factors.
- Examples of NCDs include coronary heart disease, diabetes, and various cancers.
