Coastal processes

There are two types of rocks: hard rocks like granite and limestone are resistant to erosion. They form tall cliffs, headlands, and other prominent coastal features. By contrast, soft rocks: like clay and sand are weaker and erode more easily. They form low cliffs, bays, and beaches.
