Being adopted by Miss Havisham at a young age, Estella is moulded into a heartless weapon used to exact revenge on the male sex in Miss Havisham’s bitter pursuits for indiscriminate vengeance. In abiding by the demands of her adoptive mother, Estella wins Pip’s true love and affection whilst deliberately practising Miss Havisham’s cruel and insulting ways.
