Essay Three

This is another comparative essay, but this one examines a source text, the novel Emma by Jane Austen, and an adaptation, the film Clueless by Amy Herckerling. Since these are two different genres, and from two vastly different contexts, this essay focuses on how to analyse structural differences, and how the same story can be conveyed in different ways through changes in form.
