Thus, she epitomises desirable women in the 1800s – beautiful but dependent. Though she is spiteful towards Jane in her childhood, in adulthood she commends her for her skills and talent, the two forming a friendship of sorts. Eventually, Georgiana moves to London and marries a wealthy gentleman, as has always been her intended path.
