The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom leads is a figure of traditional institutions. The Prime Minister is never given a name. As a result, he lacks any sort of identity, personality or unique characteristics. He is merely a symbol of English society which has resisted change in the post-war period. He is a quintessential representation of the unyielding nature of the British upper class.
