Lysander

Lysander really goes through the ringer in Midsummer. His girlfriend is told to either dump him, or become a virgin nun (or die!), so he flees Athens with her, only to be drugged by a fairy and consequently fall in love with his girlfriend’s best friend. He is then beaten up by both his girlfriend and his girlfriend’s ex-lover for something he can’t help because he’s under the influence of a magic flower before finally being given the antidote.
