Act 4 Scene 2

In this very short scene, the Mechanicals are still stressing out about Bottom – they have no idea where he is, whether or not he still has an ass’ head, or if they’ll even be able to put the play on without him. Just as the actors are lamenting over the news that there are two more couples to be wed on the same day (meaning that their play would have had an even bigger audience if it had gone ahead), Bottom bursts onto the stage.
