Mr Henry Woodhouse

Mr Woodhouse is Emma’s hypochondriac father. He is constantly anxious about his and everyone’s state of health. Despite these overwhelming tendencies, he is close to his daughters, especially Emma who also serves as his companion. Change is a sore spot for him and he detests having to let go of his daughters and his governess to the clutches of marriage.
