Responsibility

In many ways, Shelley’s narrative is established as a result of Victor’s inability to take responsibility for the Creature that he has created, meaning the idea of taking responsibility for action sits at the core of the text. In creating his Creature, Victor fails to acknowledge his parental obligation to then care for and guide the Creature through his development within the human world.
