Character Analysis

The Apothecary

The Apothecary is a poor, starved, skeletal man with massive eyebrows whose shop does very little business. When Romeo approaches and asks for some poison, the Apothecary accepts a great deal of money in exchange for a deadly substance, despite knowing the threat of death if he is caught having sold it. Here it is clear that the Apothecary is of very low moral character.
