Act 5 Scene 2

Friar John, who was supposed to carry Friar Lawrence’s message to Romeo, advising him to be at the Capulets’ tomb at a designated hour, returns to Friar Lawrence’s cell and explains that due to the plague he was prevented from delivering the messages. Friar Lawrence goes to the Capulet tomb, so he will be there when Juliet awakes. He plans to take her home with him until he gets the chance to send another letter to Romeo.
