  • Quadratic graphs can be plotted using a table of values
  • The highest power of x in a quadratic equation is x squared
  • To plot a quadratic graph, substitute x values into the equation to find y values
  • Connect the points with a smooth curve, not straight lines
  • Example: plot the graph of y = x squared + 2x + 1 for x values from -2 to 2
  • Make a table of x values and find corresponding y values by substituting into the equation
  • Plot the points on the graph: (-2, 1), (-1, 0), (0, 1), (1, 4), (2, 9)
  • Draw a line through the points, but only within the given range of x values
