  • The notation "���" means "is a member of a set"
  • A universal set is the set of all values being considered in a certain context
  • Subsets can be formed within a universal set
  • The complement of a set is the set of all values from the universal set that are not in the original set
  • The notation "A'" represents the complement of set A
  • The union of two sets is the set of values that belong to either set
  • The notation "A ��� B" represents the union of sets A and B
  • The intersection of two sets is the set of values that belong to both sets
  • The notation "A ��� B" represents the intersection of sets A and B
