Brackets
- Brackets are used to group numbers and operators together
- Brackets are always written in pairs
- Operations inside brackets should be performed first
- Putting brackets around different numbers can result in different answers
- Example: 5 times 2 plus 4 times 3 equals 22
- Square brackets behave the same as round brackets
- Using a combination of round and square brackets can help with complex expressions
