Constructing a Triangle
- To construct a triangle with three given side lengths, you will need a pair of compasses, a pencil, and a ruler.
- Start by drawing the longest side of the triangle using a ruler.
- Open the compasses to the width of another side length and draw an arc from one end of the line.
- Repeat the previous step on the other end of the line, but with a compass separation of the last side length.
- The arcs should intersect the original arc.
- Finally, join the intersection of the arcs with the ends of the longest line to complete the triangle.
- Make sure to use a sharp pencil for neat construction lines.
