Converting to a Decimal
- Fractions can be converted to decimals using short or long division
- To convert a fraction to a decimal, divide the numerator by the denominator
- Set up the division in the short division format
- If the denominator is a factor of 10, the fraction can be converted to a decimal without using division
- Multiply the numerator and denominator by a number to make the denominator a power of 10
- Divide the numerator by the denominator by moving the decimal point to the right
