Finding Inverse Functions
- Algebraic form of a function can be used to find its inverse
- To find the inverse function, change the subject to the input
- Rewrite the function as a variable and rearrange the formula to make the original input the subject
- Set the function equal to y and rearrange to make x the subject
- Replace x with f to the minus 1 of x and y with x to find the inverse function
- Check the answer using a trial input to confirm correctness of the inverse function expression
