Growth & Decay
- Growth describes an increase in the number of something over time
- Decay describes a decrease in the number of something over time
- Growth and decay can be calculated using the same method as compound interest and depreciation
- To calculate growth, multiply the initial amount by the growth rate
- To calculate decay, multiply the initial amount by 1 minus the decay rate
- Compound interest and depreciation formulas can be used to calculate growth and decay
- Round the final answer to the nearest whole number
