Planes
- A plane is a flat two-dimensional surface that extends infinitely
- A plane has width and length, but no thickness
- In 3D, a plane would go into and out of the screen towards you
- Planes extend infinitely in one direction, giving them length, and in another direction, giving them width
- Real-world examples of objects that are like planes include a tabletop and the surface of a chessboard, but they are not truly planes in the mathematical sense as they have thickness and do not extend forever
