Plans
- A plan of a 3D shape is a 2D drawing of the view from directly overhead
- The dimensions of a shape cannot be determined just from its plan alone
- Two or more shapes can have the same plan
- The scale factor is the ratio of the dimensions of one shape to another
- The 3D shape in the example is made up of cubes with a side length of two centimeters
- The plan will consist of four 2x2 squares on the grid
- The top three squares and the fourth square on the layer below will be visible in the plan
