Plotting Straight Line Graphs
- Straight line graphs can be plotted using a table of values
- The equation y = mx + c represents a straight line with a gradient of m and a y intercept of c
- To plot the equation, create a table of values with x values and corresponding y values
- Use at least three points to plot the graph, but it's best to use more for accuracy
- Make sure the line extends across the whole width of the graph
- Label the axis as X and Y and draw arrows on the ends
- To plot the graph without writing out the points, start at the y intercept and move according to the gradient (1 along, 1 up) to get a series of points for the line
