Prime Factorisation
- Prime factors are prime numbers that multiply together to give the original number
- Every integer can be written as a unique product of prime factors
- Prime factorization is an important concept in mathematics
- One is not considered a prime number because it would create multiple ways to write a number as a product of primes
- The prime factorization of a prime number is simply itself
- Prime factorization can be written in index form if there are repeated prime factors
