Quadratic Simultaneous Equations
- Simultaneous equations can include both linear and quadratic equations
- Simultaneous equations involve multiple variables
- One equation in a set of simultaneous equations can be quadratic
- Quadratic equations have up to two solutions
- The set of simultaneous equations in the example has two solutions: (x=3, y=0) and (x=-1, y=4)
- The graphs of the equations can intersect at two separate points
- The points of intersection represent the solutions to the equations
- Solutions consist of both the x and y values
- Linear and quadratic equations can have up to two solutions
- It is possible to have one repeated solution or no solutions depending on the relationship between the straight line and the curve.
