Scaling Vectors
- A vector can be scaled by multiplying or dividing it by a scalar
- When a vector is scaled by a positive number, it has the same direction but a different length
- When a vector is scaled by a negative number, it has the opposite direction but the same length
- To scale a column vector, both the horizontal and vertical components are multiplied by the scalar
- To add scaled vectors, the corresponding components are added separately
