- Cubic expressions have the highest power in X as X cubed
- Cubic graphs have a characteristic S shape
- Positive cubics start in the bottom left quadrant and end in the top right quadrant
- Negative cubics start in the top left quadrant and end in the bottom right quadrant
- Cubic graphs can have one or two turning points
- Turning points in cubic graphs are not the minimum or maximum values of the function
