Squares & Rectangles
- Squares and rectangles are types of quadrilaterals with four equal angles of 90 degrees
- Squares have four equal angles and four equal sides, with two pairs of parallel sides
- Rectangles have four equal angles and two pairs of equal parallel sides
- Both squares and rectangles have right angles at each corner
- In rectangles, both pairs of opposite sides have the same length and are parallel to each other
- A square is a type of rectangle with all sides being the same length as each other
- It is important to know these facts about squares and rectangles for exams.
