Surface Area of a Cuboid
- The surface area of a cuboid can be calculated by adding up the area of each rectangular face.
- A cuboid has 6 flat rectangular faces, 12 edges, and 8 vertices.
- The opposite faces of a cuboid are the same rectangle, so they have the same area.
- To calculate the surface area of a cuboid, calculate the area of each different face and add them together.
- Multiply the sum of the areas by two to get the total surface area of the cuboid.
