Transformations & Congruence
- In reflection, rotation, or translation transformations, the object and the image are congruent.
- Two shapes are congruent if all of the corresponding lengths and angles are equal to each other.
- In a translation transformation, the shape is never changed and only moved.
- In a rotation transformation, the order of sides and angles does not change during the rotation.
- In a reflection transformation, the order of sides and angles is reversed, but the shape is still congruent.
