Magnetic storage

Magnetic storage (like HDDs and magnetic tape) stores data as positive or negative magnetic charges, representing binary 1s and 0s.
HDDs use spinning magnetic discs (platters) and a read/write head to access data quickly.
Magnetic tape stores data on a long strip and reads it sequentially, making it much slower but ideal for large, long-term backups.
Both are reliable and cost-effective, but HDDs are faster, while tape offers much higher capacity and durability for archival storage.
