Character Analysis

Puck

Essentially, Puck is a sprite who was renowned in Shakespeare’s time as a mischievous fairy who sometimes helped with household chores, but more often played tricks on mortals. Puck enjoys meddling, and this meddling actually creates most of the action in the plot. After all, if it wasn’t for Puck, we wouldn’t have seen Lysander and Demetrius fall in love with Helena, the excellent fight scene that ensued, and the reconciliation of the four lovers.
