Basic Addition & Subtraction
- Addition is the sum of two numbers, giving their total value
- Subtraction is taking one number away from another, giving the difference between them
- Subtraction is the inverse operation of addition
- Addition and subtraction are inverse operations
- Addition and subtraction can be used to undo each other
- Some non calculator exam questions may require using addition and subtraction to find the answer
- Addition and subtraction can be used to solve difficult subtraction problems indirectly
