  • A number can be written as a percentage of another number
  • Percentage can be found by converting the proportion from a decimal or fraction
  • Decimal method: divide the wanted quantity by the total available amount, then multiply by 100
  • Fraction method: scale the fraction so that the denominator is 100
  • Example 1: Find 100 as a percentage of 64 using the decimal method
  • Example 2: Calculate Jason's score as a percentage (45 out of 75) using the fraction method
