Conditional Probability from Tree Diagrams
- Conditional probabilities can be calculated from tree diagrams
- Frequency tree diagrams show the frequency of events resulting from random actions
- Conditional probabilities can be calculated by dividing the frequency at the end of a branch by the frequency at the start
- Probability tree diagrams show the probability of events happening given the events on the branches before
- Conditional probabilities can be read directly from probability tree diagrams
- Conditional probabilities can be calculated by multiplying the probabilities along the path leading to the specific series of events on the diagram
- The probability of event A occurring given that event B has already occurred can be written as P(A|B)
