Defining Formulae
- A formula is a rule that links two or more variables
- Formulae are used to calculate something for a specific purpose
- The subject of a formula is the thing we're trying to work out
- Not every formula has a subject, but most do or can be rearranged until they do
- The perimeter of a shape can be calculated by adding up all the sides
- The missing height of the shape is 7 units
- The missing width of the shape is y minus x units
- The formula for the perimeter of the shape is 2y + 20 or 2y + 10 (factorized)
