Deriving Equations
- Equations are mathematical statements involving an equal sign that can be used to solve problems and find unknown information.
- Equations can be set up to represent real-life situations.
- Variables are used to represent unknown quantities in equations.
- Equations can be rearranged to solve for the unknown variables.
- Quadratic and other nonlinear equations may appear on higher tier papers.
- Perimeter of a rectangle can be calculated using the formula 2L + 2W.
- The price of one shelf can be found by setting up an equation based on the given information.
