Dividing Fractions
- Dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying by the reciprocal of the fraction
- The reciprocal of a number is itself divided into one
- Taking the reciprocal of a whole number gives one over that number
- Taking the reciprocal of a fraction involves swapping the numerator and denominator
- To divide mixed numbers, convert them to improper fractions first
- Cross cancel common factors before multiplying the numerators and denominators
- Convert the final answer to a mixed number if necessary
