- Double brackets are expanded using the FOIL method
- FOIL stands for first, outer, inner, last
- Multiplying out a bracket is the reverse process of factorising
- Example: Expand 2x + 1 times x + 3
- Example: Expand 4x - 2y times 3x + 3y
