Expanding Single Brackets
- Expanding brackets is the process of removing brackets by writing the multiplications individually
- To expand a bracket, multiply each term inside the bracket by the number or variable outside the bracket
- The expanded form of 2x + 1 is 2x + 1
- The expanded form of 3(2x + 5) is 6x + 15
- The expanded form of -2x(7 - xy) is -14x + 2x^2y
