Exponential Intercept
- Exponential graphs have a y-intercept of 1
- The graph of y = 2^x has the typical shape of an exponential
- As x increases, y increases and the graph gets steeper
- The graph cuts the y-axis at (0, 1)
- This is true for all values of k in exponentials y = k^x
- Larger values of k result in steeper graphs
- Substituting x = 0 into the exponential equation gives the y-intercept
- Any number to the power of zero is one
