Finding the Turning Point of a Quadratic
- The coordinates of the turning point of a quadratic can be found by completing the square
- The turning point is found at the coordinates (a, b)
- For a positive quadratic, the turning point is a minimum
- For a negative quadratic, the turning point is a maximum
- To find the turning point, rewrite the quadratic in the form of completing the square
- Simplify the expression to get it in the correct form
- Read out the coordinates (A, B) to find the turning point
- State whether it is a minimum or maximum based on the sign of the quadratic
