Introduction to Simultaneous Equations
- Simultaneous equations are sets of equations that share a solution
- Equations are only true when the variables have specific values
- Sets of equations involving the same variables can be solved simultaneously
- Solving simultaneous equations involves finding values for the variables that satisfy both equations
- The solution to a pair of simultaneous equations includes both variables
- A single equation with two variables can have infinitely many solutions
- A second equation is needed to find a unique solution for both equations
- Simultaneous equations can have multiple solutions, including up to two solutions for a linear equation and a quadratic equation.
